Rooted Rose Recreation & Wellness LLC was founded in 2022 by Erika Halaby and Domenic LaRosa. As a union and company, they aim to provide grounded love and healing through primal activities like hiking, water travel and herbalism, as well as ancient ritual and Shamanic practices like Yoga, and walking the Medicine Wheel. Their work is supported by a creative, meditative pedagogy that always incorporates an ode to the surrounding land, healing sounds, art, and education. With their diverse backgrounds, certifications, and degrees - including Erika's degree in outdoor education, Domenic's in engineering and carpentry, and their shared training in yoga over 1000 hours - they use hard skills, soft skills, and compassionate practices to foster unique outdoor classrooms, seasonal retreats, and adventures for beings of all ages and backgrounds around the world. They hope to always provide respectful understanding on the journey of life as we all build resilience in climbing our own mountains of well-being and adversity during life's evolution.
Erika and Domenic, who met by chance at a backyard yoga class in 2020, have teamed up to share their strong bond with nature and their dedication to guiding individuals toward a more meaningful life. They offer a broad array of uplifting experiences such as stand-up paddleboarding, all inclusive retreats and guided hikes in the White Mountains, to other workshop style events ike AcroYoga workshops and Cacao Ceremonies to help people develop tools, practices, and connections that align them with their purpose, relationships, and daily experiences. Alongside their therapeutic recreation services, they run LaRosa Woodworks LLC, where they specialize in revitalizing homes and helping individuals achieve their goals. Whether teaching outdoor skills or creating dream homesteads or workshops, Erika and Dominic are focused on building enduring relationships and assisting others in finding balance in all aspects of their lives. Their two businesses have evolved over the years as a harmonious blend of masculine and feminine energies, offering valuable lessons on connecting with these energies in today's world. Through their various offerings to the community, they aim to remind everyone that they can find harmony and beauty in their lives.
