Nature and Mindfulness Wellness Walk

Taking Root programs guide students to connect to themselves, others, and nature through
Nature Based Education and Mindfulness activities. In these sessions students will gain tools to
build resilience in the areas of self-confidence, body awareness, self-regulation, self-control,
regulate nervous system & reduce stress and anxiety. Participates leave feeling grounded and
connected to others and their natural world.

In this Nature and Mindfulness session we will drop into the body with a guided meditation, somatic breathwork, a guided nature walk, yoga movement, and reflection. You will leave with your nervous system feeling calm, grounded, and connected to yourself, each other, and nature through mindful, immersive experiences outdoors.

Immerse yourself in a unique and rejuvenating experience with our Paddle Board yoga class led by Erika and Dom of Rooted Rose. At the heart of their classes is a strong foundation for all levels, where participants are provided with stand up paddle board rentals, an opening paddle talk to set the intention for the session, and detailed instructions to ensure confidence on the board.Once on the water, you will anchor down to create a serene environment for a 60-minute playful and restorative yoga asana and meditation practice. After the session, you will leave feeling empowered, refreshed and connected to the waters, ready to take on the rest of the amazing festival!

Be guided on an immersive forest bathing walk to the Saco River that flows by the Theater in the Wood just beyond the Amphitheater.
